- I had been suffering modest to severe pain in my left shoulder and upper arm along with restricted mobility for about six months before scheduling my first session with Jaime. Over the course of approximately six weeks of treatments, I regained near complete mobility in my shoulder and arm along with the elimination of any notable pain. Before my sessions began I was having difficulty sleeping at night, often times waking up whenever I rolled over onto my side due to the ensuing pain. I would feel the need to be exceedingly cautions whenever I would either extend my arm or try to lift anything, regardless of its weight, out of concern of pain which often accompanied even the most modest movements. I began noticing improvement in my mobility and reduction of pain by the end of the second treatment. With each treatment the difficulties I had been experiencing became less and less prevalent. The pain in my arm and shoulder has all but disappeared. I have nearly full movement in my arm. Quite frankly, days go by without my giving any thought to the problems I was encountering before starting treatment with Jaime. I am now at the point that I only think about my 'condition' when someone asks me how I am feeling. My immediate response for the last six weeks since my last treatment is: "great". I do believe that my enhanced state is due to the acupuncture treatments I had with her. I am most appreciative of your efforts Jaime and am very pleased with the results. - I am so glad that I tried acupuncture with Jaime Gordon! I was having back aches for 6 months and tried two different chiropractors as well as massage to no avail. I started acupuncture and after 3 visits started to have some relief. After the 5th visit I was able to do one of my favorite activities without pain- dancing-the kind that takes your breath away and makes you sweat! I now look forward to biking again and getting back in the pool-all activities that I had to stop due to back pain. I believe my pain was caused from 3 prolia shots(taken once every 6 months) for osteoporosis prescribed for me by a rheumatologist and also a fall I had on top of that. Jaime was able to help both. - Jaime is amazing! For years I had suffered from horrific headaches due to sinus problems and allergies. Jaime’s acupuncture has eliminated them. I have been headache free for months now. Problems with my allergies are nearly gone. Recently I had three dogs stay in my home during hurricane Sandy and didn’t sneeze even once for three days. Previously I would have had to take benedryl within hours of coming in contact with the dogs. In addition to being allergy free, my sense of smell has improved dramatically. I have been seeing Jaime for acupuncture since the fall of 2010. I am a personal trainer and work as an aide for a physical therapist. I started experiencing migraines that became more frequent and intense; I started to have some drooping on the right side of my face. My family doctor wanted me to get injections for the migraines. Due to a low platelet count, I was not interested in taking any medications that could potentially lower my red blood cell count. I sought out acupuncture strictly for the headaches. Jaime takes a full health history and during that consultation, I told her I suffer from sciatic pain as well. She starting treating me for both conditions and I reacted very positively and quickly. I now see Jaime as needed. I have been headache free for five months. I became a patient of acupuncture somewhat hesitantly, using it as a last resort for treatment of chronic pain from endometriosis. I went to my first consultation appointment with Jaime very nervous and not knowing what to expect at all. Jaime put me at ease within the first 10 minutes of the appointment with her wonderful and caring manner. Within the first couple treatments, Jaime began weaning me off the prescription painkillers I had been relying on for relief. I was amazed at how quickly the treatments took effect. Life changing…that is how I would describe my acupuncture treatment with Jamie Kahn Gordon. After a year of not knowing what was causing my digestive issues, even after an upper GI endoscopy and a colonoscopy, I was tired of feeling sick and anxious. After meeting Jaime in her warm, caring environment and explaining my symptoms and learning more about her practice and experiences, I made the first of what would be several appointments. - I had adjusted to living with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia for more than a decade, and have seen various acupuncture practitioners throughout to deal with pain and a range of symptoms. If fact, over the years I've tried everything but snake oil. - I cannot even put into words what acupuncture means to me, not to mention the gift and talents of my Practitioner, but I will do my best. I met Jaime a couple years back after a friend told me about her. I knew nothing about acupuncture prior to going to Jaime but realized as soon as I walked into her office, it was where I needed to be. The energy of the room was calm and inviting and I soon found myself relaxed and comfortable in discussing my concerns for being there. For me, acupuncture is a way to remove those blocks so the healing can begin. Every treatment I receive is customized for my specific needs for that visit, so I always have the comfort in knowing we’ve addressed exactly what my body is wanting.
