A final thought:
The picture below was taken by Jaime in 1997. It is of a mural inside a Buddhist temple in the city of Cheng Du, in Si Chuan province, China. The symbol in the center, often called "Yin-Yang", is more properly know as "Tai-Chi" and is the fundamental representation of the Yin energy of the Earth (the dark swirl) rising to Heaven, and the Yang energy of Heaven (the light swirl) descending to Earth. It is also most signifcant to note that there is a small "spot" of Yin contained within the Yang "swirl", and vice versa. Do you know why? The Chinese characters written down either side of the mural are translated to the right. The simplicity of what is said is inverse to the depth of it's meaning!
Man depends on land
Land depends on heaven
Heaven depends on the Dao
The Dao depends on the Natural
Dao Sheng Yi
Yi Sheng Er
Er Sheng San
San Sheng Wan Wu
The Dao gave birth to the One
The One gave birth to the Two
The Two gave birth to the Three
And the Three give birth to the Ten Thousand Beings
