 Jaime Kahn Gordon, L.Ac.

Education: 

Born in Philadelphia and raised in the suburbs of Montgomery county, Jaime received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont .  She then completed her graduate studies at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington where she earned her Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture and a Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine. The latter included a ten week post-graduate clinical internship in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the teaching hospital of the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine  in Chengdu, Sichuan China. 

Licensure & Organizations:

 Since 1996 the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (www.nccaom.org) has designated Jaime as a Diplomate in Acupuncture, and the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine has licensed her to practice Acupuncture since 1997.  Jaime is licensed as a Practitioner of Oriental Medicine, which is a broader license than Acupuncturist as it includes the practice of Chinese herbal medicine and reflects deeper and more lengthy study.

Jaime is a professional member of both the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (www.aaaomonline.org) and the Association for Professional Acupuncture in Pennsylvania (www.acupuncturepa.org).  Jaime currently maintains a private practice in the Philadelphia suburb of Erdenheim, just beyond Chestnut Hill.

 Personal:

When not studying Eastern medicine, Jaime's others great passions include her family, gardening, and Yoga.  Ever since discovering the Ashtanga style of yoga in 1991 while living in Crested Butte, Colorado, this moving meditation has been a steadying force providing balance and calm amidst all the chaos and demands of life.  Aside from fresh air and clean water, yoga is the one thing Jaime recommends to everyone!
